Taking stock of sales
For more than three decades, the multi-award winning Planglow has been a leading supplier of catering supplies and environmentally friendly packaging. The company had previously been using an off-the-shelf e-commerce system, but were losing sales, frustrated by its limitations and looking for a platform that was far more integrated, effective and powerful.
Planglow’s customer base ranges from individual operators to large contract catering groups. Each uses their own unique selection of our products, including custom designed items created especially for their business. With this in mind, we came to Ember requesting a completely new website that would deliver an improved and enhanced customer experience. A website that would harmonise with our branding whilst delivering improved ERP integration, content management and SEO.
We launched the new site in 2017 and it has delivered on every front!
This project presented a number of challenges in integrating with the ERP system that Planglow use to control stock, accounts and pricing. Whether receiving live price data, or posting orders directly into their internal system, it was important that we carefully considered the security and resilience of these connections.
Planglow have seen a significant ROI since we designed, developed and launched their new custom e‑commerce system.
